This Privacy Policy explains how SwimAI (“SwimAI”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the SwimAI mobile application and the website at montdo.com.

SwimAI is operated by Conrad Addo, based in Spain. Contact: conrad@montdo.com.

1. Overview

SwimAI helps people practice swimming technique with live coaching on their iPhone. Guests may complete a limited number of Practice sessions without an account. Creating an account, syncing progress, and continued Practice access after the guest limit involve additional information as described below.

In the current App Store version (V1), cloud video analysis (“Analyze”) is not available to users. Practice coaching runs on your device.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Account and authentication

If you create or sign in to an account, we process:

2.2 Practice and session data

When you use Practice, SwimAI may store session results and related practice history (for example drill information, counts, duration, and session summary data). Guests can store practice data on the device. After you sign in, practice history may be synced to your account so it can be available across sessions.

Onboarding preferences (such as experience level, illustration preference, and technique selection) may be stored on the device and/or associated with your account.

2.3 Camera and on-device processing

Practice uses the device camera for live coaching. Pose estimation for Practice is performed on-device (MediaPipe). SwimAI does not upload Practice video recordings to SwimAI servers for Practice coaching.

2.4 Subscriptions and purchases

SwimAI Pro subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system (StoreKit). Apple processes payment information under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. SwimAI does not receive your full payment card details.

2.5 Device and technical information

Like most apps, SwimAI and its service providers may process limited technical information needed to operate the service (for example app configuration requests and authentication session data stored on your device).

2.6 Information we do not collect for tracking

SwimAI’s iOS privacy declarations state that it does not engage in tracking as defined by Apple’s App Privacy framework (NSPrivacyTracking = false). SwimAI does not currently integrate common third-party analytics SDKs such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase Analytics, AppsFlyer, or similar products named in our engineering inventory.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

Marketing preference. During sign-up you may choose to receive SwimAI updates, coaching tips, and product news. That choice is stored with your account profile. The SwimAI app stores this preference; it does not itself implement a separate marketing email delivery system in the current codebase. If we contact you for those purposes, we will do so based on your stored preference and applicable law. You can contact conrad@montdo.com to update your preference.

4. Service providers

We use trusted providers to operate SwimAI. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

4.1 Supabase

Authentication, account profiles, and synced practice session data are handled using Supabase (auth, database, and related backend functions). Account deletion is initiated through SwimAI and processed via our Supabase-backed deletion flow.

4.2 Superwall

SwimAI uses Superwall to present subscription paywalls, load remote paywall configuration, synchronize a signed-in user identifier, and support purchase and restore flows together with Apple StoreKit.

What SwimAI sends to Superwall from the app:

SwimAI configures Superwall with eventTrackingBehavior: 'none', which disables Superwall server-side event/analytics tracking in the installed SDK. Superwall is still used for configuration, identity sync, and StoreKit-related paywall/purchase/restore functionality. Superwall and Apple are separate services.

4.3 Apple

Apple provides Sign in with Apple (when used), App Store distribution, and In-App Purchases / StoreKit. Apple’s handling of payment and Apple ID data is governed by Apple’s policies.

4.4 Google

If you use Google Sign-In, Google processes authentication according to Google’s terms and privacy policy. SwimAI may receive an ID token and limited profile information needed to create or update your SwimAI account.

4.5 Website hosting

This website is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages for montdo.com. Hosting providers may process standard technical logs (such as IP address and request metadata) as part of delivering the site.

5. Children’s use

SwimAI is a general-audience swimming practice app. It is kid-friendly and children may use it, but it is not specifically directed at children and is not offered as an Apple Kids Category / Made for Kids product. We do not knowingly use SwimAI to solicit personal information from children for marketing. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact conrad@montdo.com and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where required.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide SwimAI and maintain your account, and we delete it within a reasonable period after account deletion, except where retention is required or permitted by law (for example for legal claims, security, or compliance).

7. Account deletion

You can delete your SwimAI account from within the app (Account → Delete account), when the deletion service is available. That flow deletes your SwimAI authentication user and associated SwimAI database data through our existing deletion process, and clears certain on-device practice/onboarding state.

Account deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel SwimAI Pro through your Apple ID subscription settings. Deletion also does not guarantee removal of data held solely by Apple, Google, or Superwall under their own systems, except to the extent our app resets Superwall’s local identity on sign-out.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data (including encrypted transport where the app communicates over HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

9. International processing

SwimAI is operated from Spain. Our service providers may process data in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and provider terms applicable to those transfers.

10. Your rights

Depending on applicable law (including the GDPR where it applies), you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Spain, this includes the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).

To exercise rights, email conrad@montdo.com. You can also delete your account in the app as described above.

11. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will take additional steps where required by law.
